ELP and Hikuleo battle past West Coast Wrecking Crew for tag gold 【NJoA】

V2 for STRONG Champions

The first of five title matches at Lonestar Shootout on November 10 saw El Phantasmo and Hikuleo put the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships on the line against the West Coast Wrecking Crew, Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson.

Watch the replay now!

A fast start saw ELP get moving quickly to both challengers, but as Nelson landed a tope suicida to Hikuleo, Isaacs would walk Phantasmo around the floor in vertical suplex position before dropping him into a senton on the big man. Now with full control of Phantasmo, WCWC manhandled the Canadian, and mocked his penchant for back raking, but a high cross and a misdirection finally allowed the hot tag to Hikuleo.

With sickening chops from Hikuleo and a snap powerslam to boot, the champions managed to slow Isaacs’ forward momentum, but a Sudden Death from ELP would be sent into Hikuleo instead. With Nelson now legal, the challengers were in impressive form at the ten minute mark and signalled to end things on Phantasmo; a piledriver from Isaacs was followed by the Movie on the Roof elbow from Nelson, but Hikuleo saw to it that the pin was broken up.

Desperation sinking in for the challengers, Nelson and Isaacs tried to get the edge with low blows and belt shots as the referee was stunned; Phantasmo would be able to send a charging Nelson into Isaacs though, and Sudden Death followed for the win.
