Lee jumps from NOAH to target Naito

Road to Dontaku on April 23 saw a best of five series between members of Los Ingobernables De Japon and War Dogs, but it was the semi main of Drilla Moloney and Tetsuya Naito that saw a sting in the tale.

Deep in a demanding matchup, Naito had the upper hand on his junior heavyweight competition when David Finlay hit the ringside area. As Finlay drew the attention of Naito, Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s Jake Lee hit the ring, and tore into Naito. Lee served up Moloney to hit the Drilla Killa and pin Naito, before the Face Break Shot connected in ring and out.

Backstage after his main event victory, Finlay called Lee in for backstage comments. Explaining that Lee had been craving Naito’s head for a long time, Finlay stated that Hiroshima’s elimination main event on April 27 will see Gedo out of the War Dogs side, and Lee in. Jake Lee said that he came to NJPW to destroy Tetsuya Naito as War Dogs seem to have enlisted a blood hungry ally.
